4th WEEK OF SCHOOL

Hello everyone! Welcome to another week of learning!

We began our week learning a new song by Jack Johnson.

Click on the image to sing it along with him!

 "The 3 R's"
Three it's a magic number
Yes it is, it's a magic number
Because two times three is six
And three times six is eighteen
And the eighteenth letter in the alphabet is R
We've got three R's we're going to talk about today
We've got to learn to
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
If you're going to the market to buy some juice
You've got to bring your own bags and you learn to reduce your waste
And if your brother or your sister's got some cool clothes
You could try them on before you buy some more of those
Reuse, we've got to learn to reuse
And if the first two R's don't work out
And if you've got to make some trash
Don't throw it out
Recycle, we've got to learn to recycle,
We've got to learn to
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Because three it's a magic number
Yes it is, it's a magic number
3, 3, 3
3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36
33, 30, 27, 24, 21, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, and
3, it's a magic number

We also began working with our Backpack book and spoke about  AMAZING PEOLPE such as:

PABLO PICASSO
(Spanish painter)

ANTONI GAUDI
(Spanish architect)

JOHN LENNON
(English musician, singer and songwriter)

Click on the image to sing IMAGINE along with him!

IMAGINE
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

We had a short week since Easter is coming so I wish you a very:
And before saying good bye I want to share
these thoughts with you...

See you next week!

We had our Kensuke's dictation and there were many improvements but you still need to pactise. Let's make an effort for next week and make all our mischievous mistakes dissappear!!

TIP for studying: Copy the dictation as many times as you can so as to get to know which mistakes to avoid. Let's try it!

We worked in a very long Literature assessment looking up for verbs, adjectives, metaphors, similes and personification examples on Kensuke's Kingdom. You also wrote a letter pretending you were lost on an island and this is what you wrote:

In History we talked about who did you think were today's heroes and here are some of your answers:
  • Messi
  • San Martin
  • Doctors
  • Teachers

We also worked with our value of the week and we had great results! You were COLLABORATIVE at home, in school, with your family...

  • I love to collaborate!
  • I collaborated in my home
  • I collaborated to clean the class
  • I collaborated with my mother
  •  I collaborated dressing up my sister

  • I made my bed this morning
  • I helped my mother to get better
  • I collaborated with my teacher
Congratulations! Keep on your good work!

Next week value will be PERSEVERANCE: Believing in what we do and overcome what lies before us.

The Greg's pupil of the week was given to TIZIANA for:
  • being perseverant in her work

  • never giving up!
Great work Tizi!!! Congratulations!

Guns N' Roses

Sweet Child O' Mine

She's got a smile it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I'd stare too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by
Oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine

Oh, oh, oh, oh

Sweet child o' mine
Oh,
Sweet love of mine

Where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Oh, oh
Where do we go?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?

Oh, (sweet child)
Where do we go now?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
Oh,
Where do we go?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
Oh,
Where do we go?
Where do we go now?
Where do we go?
Oh,
Where do we go now?
No, no, no, no, no, no
Sweet child,
Sweet child of mine.

Great song!!! Enjoy it!
